With the "Spare Parts Logistics Center (ELZ)", AYKA ParX is developing a new, centrally located logistics center for Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH, the largest company in the Zeppelin Group, on the site of the former drive-in cinema in Cologne-Porz. In the modern equipped property, the company will carry out the planning and procurement of construction machinery spare parts as well as storage and distribution for all branches and service stations of all business divisions within Germany on 20,400 m² of usable space.
The Cologne location is of crucial importance for the spare parts supply of the Zeppelin organization: In addition to the attractive transport connections and infrastructure, the new property is located near the Central Spare Parts Warehouse of Caterpillar in Grimbergen, Belgium, which supplies the center in Cologne twice daily with Caterpillar spare parts.
Inside the hall, state-of-the-art warehouse technology is used, including a high-bay warehouse and a small parts warehouse as Autostore. In addition, a hazardous materials warehouse and a production area for hydraulic hoses will be established.
The new location is approximately five kilometers away from the current warehouse location in Porz-Grengel.

The new logistics distribution center of Zeppelin is located in the greater Cologne area and thus in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, one of the largest urban areas in Europe with a high concentration of industrial, commercial and logistics companies and a multitude of large sales and procurement markets.
With several motorways (A1, A3, A4) via the Cologne Ring and in all directions, the location has an excellent position and infrastructure. With the high population in and around Cologne, the supply of labor is large.
